Nutritional Supplements During Pregnancy

Part of child deaths that occur in the world, especially in underdeveloped countries could be avoided if moms take nutritional supplements, and shows a study by a group of experts from the University of Mataram (Indonesia). The study concludes that not enough to provide mothers-iron and folic acid supplementation is necessary to supplement these with various vitamins and minerals.

Logically, the diet that is followed in these countries does not provide the necessary elements to allow a proper development of future children, the lack of means forced to eat little and little nutritional load.

The study involved data from 31,290 pregnant women were divided into two groups, firstly, a first group to which she was given iron and folic acid addition to diet that followed. The second group received a nutritional supplement which include, besides the elements of the first group, various vitamins, A, B1, B2, B6, B12, D, E and various minerals like zinc and selenium, among others.
