The reptilian brain evolution appeared 300 million years ago. It is a more instinctive brain is based mainly on survival.

It controls bodily functions such as hunger, digestion and elimination, respiration, circulation, temperature, territorial instincts and the instinct of flight and fight (as you see, a whole pack of “accessories” to preserve the lives and safety of oneself).

You could say that part of the brain is more work when a baby is born. His main concern is to ensure food, heat and generally maintain vital signs and optimal wellness.

At the time some of this lack or failure, claims the baby, because that is what you need to stay alive.

The mammalian brain

This part of the brain is virtually identical to the chimpanzee brain. It is also called the emotional brain, as it is responsible for generating emotions or rational human brain has to learn to control.

The Babies Brain (Part 1)

baby's brainIn Babies and again we have said several times that babies born today have very few differences (if any) with babies born thousands of years ago.

However many adults and many parents tend to have a somewhat rigid perception of the evolution and capabilities of babies and expect them to behave, and from an early age, of this or that way.

Phrases such as “cries for vice,” “crying for attention”, “smarter than hunger,” “is manipulating you and make babies like to be seen as a little person capable of reasoning and the ability to handle their parents (or trying to), when the reality is that the baby’s brain and the child is so immature that most acts are instinctive and little emotional.

The human brain consists of three brains

The brains of babies (and adults) consists of three parts or brains: the reptilian brain, mammalian or emotional brain and the human brain or rational.

The three are interconnected and each has its own functions and according to the experiences and feelings that we will use one or the other brain.
